Kinect! So I thought a little update was due I have been playing the kinect a bit lately and I no there have been mixed reviews about the new addition to the Xbox article but I honestly think its wicked with so much room for expansion! so far they have limited games out for it but theirs definitely going to be more coming out that are not all dance or fitness orientated although saves me going to the gym! Body can get a bit achy after a few hours of gaming although that doesn’t hit you until the morning! :D and the lucky thing is its open source so I am sure people will come up with some fun new creative ways to use the kinect!
As for my typography project I have a fairly decent idea on what am going to be creating, today I will print off the multitude to A3 pages to cover the whole limerick stick them together and get them cut out so I can hire the lights from university to start filming :D!
If you didn’t know what the project is I am doing and was wondering, its a Typography experimentation project where we have to create a limerick and portray that through experimental typography (Not just using technological advances)

So this is my 10 second video we had to make for one of my projects I am doing at university at the moment the brief was, make a 10 second advert to persuade people to donate to the cholera outbreak currently in Haiti.
I went for a photo manipulation style with the child’s hand slowly blending out as if it was dying away not completely finished I would like to get a smoother transition with the hand and also work on the type at the end, but I am quite happy with the overall feel to this piece.
So, getting more work through now from a company called southern percussion designing book covers for their many percussion books they are publishing at the moment.
These are just a few of the ones I have created so far, I have completed just over a hundred covers since August in my spare time to earn some money to pay for some of the costs of my final year at university!
Hopefully getting some pictures of the newer covers I have done to post too hope you like.
Soooo i guess this will be my first blog post ever…. any way im just writing to say hello to everybody, I am going to hopefully be updating this fairly often on subjects that I enjoy talking about, things that have happened in my every day life and just utter nonsense really I hope you enjoy reading and see you next time!
